If you want to cross-country ski in the Jachenau, you have to be prepared for changes: Entry into Leger is no longer possible.

The trail fee must now be paid at the machine.

Jachenau - There is still not enough snow to prepare the cross-country ski run in Jachenau.

"We're missing 20 centimeters," the guest information reported this week, "but maybe something will come up at the weekend."

Long-standing operator in Leger no longer provides parking space

However, winter sports enthusiasts should be prepared for a few changes: this season, the start of the cross-country ski run right behind the Leger district of Lenggries is no longer available.

The large parking lot there is also no longer available.

The reason for this is that the long-time operator has retired.

He is silent about his motives.

The length of the route in the Jachental decreases and now runs from the village to a turning point halfway between "Lettner" and Leger.

A first entry into the trail is possible at the "Dannerer".

There is also a parking lot there.

Of course, you can also use the parking lot at the "Schützenhaus" in the village, from there it is only a few meters to the start in front of the Jachenau inn.

Mayor fears parking bottlenecks on nice days

"Of course, there are no parking spaces in Leger and there will be bottlenecks on nice winter days," fears Mayor Klaus Rauchenberger.

The municipality would like to offer more places, but so far there has been a lack of suitable land.

"Anyone who would like to support us in finding a solution is welcome to get in touch," the mayor appealed to everyone.

Season tickets for cross-country skiers are available in the town hall

There is a change for the payment of the trail maintenance fee.

Users must now throw the 4 euros into a machine.

For this purpose, devices were set up in Tannern, Niggeln, Dorf and at the setting place.

The season ticket is available in the town hall.

The parking fee must of course be paid extra.

Due to the generally increased costs, the preparation of the trail is associated with considerable financial effort.

It is therefore hoped that the maintenance fee and parking fee will be paid fairly.

Those responsible have already announced controls.

Now everyone is hoping for enough snow.

Then nothing stands in the way of cross-country skiing fun.
