2022-12-18T16:36:58.082Z

Argentina took the lead against France on a Lionel Messi penalty. But the decision to impose a penalty was not obviously right. SVT Sports expert Jonas Eriksson thinks so. - It is a very, very cheap punishment, he says.

However, Eriksson, who himself was an elite referee before and, among other things, refereed the Europa League final in 2016, understands why VAR did not step in and correct the decision.

- It is a very, very cheap punishment.

But there is contact and then VAR will not correct it, he says.
