“Young Kenneth is currently with his mother in Lyon, and they should take a plane back to the United States during the day”.
On Saturday, the public prosecutor of Grenoble Eric Vaillant announced that the American student - reported missing on November 29 - who had been located in Spain was finally found... in Lyon.
Without further details.
On the other hand,
Le Progrès
reveals this Sunday that the young man had a somewhat incredible adventure.
He was spotted by a CRS company at 5 a.m. while walking under the Caluire tunnel, which is closed to pedestrians.
Visibly lost, he indicated that he was trying to get to Saint-Exupéry airport, located about twenty kilometers away, where he was to join his mother.
The concern of his parents
The police did not immediately make the connection.
It was by driving him to the premises of the motorway CRS and passing his report to the file that they discovered his identity.
The story does not tell, however, how he found himself under the tunnel and by what means he reached the city of Lyon.
The student, who had difficulty making friends since his arrival in France, had not been heard from since November 29.
His cell phone stopped broadcasting the next day.
He was last seen in a store in Montélimar (Drôme) on December 3.
Worried, his parents had launched a wanted poster before he finally showed up at the end of the week, stating that he was in Spain.
