The victory of Youssef, 19, came after a great competition with nearly a thousand amateur photographers from different countries of the world, to become the first Egyptian, Arab and African to win the title.

The Egyptian photographer described the moment he won the competition, saying that it "similar to the feeling of winning the World Cup," indicating that the competition means a lot to him, and that he worked for a long time over months, and traveled to a large number of Egyptian regions such as Fayoum, Alexandria, Port Said, Menoufia, and Kafr El-Sheikh, to document daily life and progress. for the contest.

Youssef, who studies photography at the Higher Institute of Cinema, added, "My dream was to win the competition, and thanks to God, I succeeded in the end, with a large difference from the closest competitor, who is a photographer from England, with 155 points."

According to “Sky News Arabia,” Youssef said, “Over the months of the competition, I was very nervous, and I always enter and see the ranking of the top ten, and compare my photos that I submitted with those of other photographers, and try to predict the result, because it was not easy at all in light of the competition of a large number of photographers.” The Distinguished.

Youssef talked about the efforts he made to win the competition, saying: “I developed myself over the last year, and I attended a large number of training workshops on image formation and how to take pictures that express life, and that there is life in the pictures that makes you when you see them as if they are talking to you.”

Youssef revealed the support provided by his family to him, saying: "Their support was unlimited. They bought me a new camera this year to increase my passion for photography more and more, to submit to the competition with pictures from the 2022 production.
