Markus Söder often has to take criticism on Instagram.

Not so with his latest post.

The fans celebrate the CSU boss euphorically.

Munich – Markus Söder wishes his followers on Instagram a happy 4th Advent.

"The anticipation for Christmas is increasing," he wrote in a video on December 18.

And: "I once bought a new sweater.

Very fashionable, isn't it?" asks the CSU boss.

Söder enthusiastic in Christmas outfit - "Your sweater is a delight, I celebrate you"

"Maggus your sweater is a delight, I celebrate you!" writes someone in the comments.

"Mega sweater," says one woman and another adds: "Great Mr. Söder...it's mega and very trendy."

Söder inspires with a Christmas sweater on Instagram: "Very strong" - criticism on Twitter

"Boah Markus, the sweater looks really good on you," comments another person.

"I think the sweater is very strong," can also be read.

So much praise for Bayer's prime minister.

"German Grinch," someone jokes.

"Ahahaa what's that," someone jokes.

"Just embarrassing," says another person.

Negative comments are in the minority on this post on Instagarm.

More criticism can be found under the post on Twitter: "How can you post something like this and at the same time be jointly responsible for the fact that various families cannot have a good time, a good Christmas?" asks a woman.

"Why don't you say anything about the state of emergency in the clinics and doctor's offices?" Someone wants to know.

"It couldn't be more embarrassing!

Better take care of a seriously pursued energy transition instead of making yourself ridiculous here!” one man also voiced loud criticism in the comments.
