"It's scary to come to school"

As a reminder, yesterday (Sunday) a 16-year-old student was slightly injured after being stabbed inside a school in Netanya.

MDA medics and paramedics gave him medical treatment and evacuated him to Laniado Hospital in the city.

After extensive searches, two students were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the act.

A preliminary investigation by the police shows that the victim was stabbed inside the school grounds.

Students told about the stabbing incident: "There were shouts. Three students attacked one student and stabbed him. The students who stabbed him jumped over the fence and ran away," they said.

"We don't know what happened between them, but there was shouting and they beat one student and stabbed him. It was scary. Last week there was also a fight at school and someone's nose was broken. We don't know if there is a connection between the two incidents. It's scary to come to a school where fights and stabbings".

Laniado Hospital reported: "The boy suffers from a minor injury to the thigh from a knife stab, and is being treated in a shock room." Also, the mayor of Netanya, Miriam Fierberg-Icher, came to visit the student at the hospital.

Dr. Michael Ben Akon, Director of the Children's Department at Laniado Hospital, described: "A 16-year-old boy came to the children's department fully conscious with a superficial head injury and a stab wound on the left thigh.

Happily, after tests it turned out that the two injuries were superficial, and they amounted to a few stitches to the thigh and some supervision for the boy and he will be released home.

The disturbing part is the surrounding part - a child goes to school in the morning, and ends up in the emergency room with a stab wound in the thigh and a bruise on the head."
