The curtain fell on the FIFA World Cup competitions with a wonderful closing ceremony yesterday, less than an hour before the final match of the World Cup in Qatar at Lusail Stadium.
The closing ceremony witnessed a diverse artistic evening, punctuated by a musical composition of the official songs of the tournament, which were presented directly in front of the fans in the stadium, in the presence of a group of singers, and in the presence of Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Davido and Aisha performed the song “Come on, come on”, while the artists Ozuna and James presented the song “Welcome”, in addition to the women’s team consisting of Noura Fatehi, Belqis, Rahima Riad and Manal Al Kamel, who performed the song “Light the Sky”.
The closing ceremony also witnessed the dancers swaying to the music, amidst a state of interaction and enthusiasm in the stands.
Two balloons in the colors of the Argentine and French flags were launched into the open air before the closing ceremony.
