Acting head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin said that part of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from which Donetsk was shelled, was destroyed.
He said this on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel.
“Return fire is applied, counter-battery work is underway.
Tonight, those enemy firing points from which strikes were launched, some of them were definitely destroyed, ”Pushilin said.
According to him, it was impossible not to respond "to this barbaric shelling."
As Pushilin clarified, units of the 1st Army Corps and the forces of the Russian Defense Ministry worked in this direction.
“As a result, strikes were carried out on Avdiivka, on the enemy’s concentration, on Krasnogorovka, as well as on the western part of Maryinka, which is not yet under our control,” he said.
At the same time, according to Pushilin, this does not mean that there will be no new attacks.
As the acting head of the DPR noted, it is not yet possible to confirm this, since the enemy continues to pull up reserves and use the weapons supplied by NATO countries.
“The only thing that can be done to minimize such attacks on our large urban agglomerations is to push the enemy back, which is what our units are doing,” Pushilin concluded.
Shelling of the DNR and LNR
The DPR office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine previously reported 37 facts of firing by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy used Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 122, 152 and 155 mm artillery, as well as 120 mm mortars during shelling.
The shelling affected Donetsk, Zaitsevo, Gorlovka, Makeevka and other settlements.
During the shelling of the Kalininsky district of Donetsk, one person was killed.
Earlier it was reported that we are talking about a man who was being treated at the Kalinin hospital, damaged as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, four people were injured in the DPR, 27 houses and ten infrastructure facilities were damaged.
In turn, the representative office of the Lugansk People's Republic in the JCCC reported that the settlement of Alchevsk was shelled using the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system.
The enemy fired four rockets, as a result, the building of a commercial enterprise was damaged.
In addition, at about 01:15, the settlement of Novoselovka was shelled.
The enemy also used the HIMARS MLRS, firing five missiles.
People's Militia of the LPR - about the situation in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
As an officer of the People's Militia of the LPR Dmitry Marochko said, the enemy is changing tactics in the Krasnolimansky direction.
According to the data cited by Marochko, against the background of the shortage of artillery ammunition and heavy armored vehicles observed in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian command is focusing on light and fast combat groups.

In addition, according to Marochko, in the Kupyansk direction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the orders of the commanders, they began massive deforestation and forest belts.
“The Ukrainian command on the ground ordered the servicemen of the rear units to start harvesting wood and take it out of the combat zone.
The felling is carried out in a barbaric way, without observing environmental requirements, ”said a representative of the People’s Militia.
According to him, the first timber trucks have already been seen in the settlements of Kupyansk and Kharkov.
