A few hours after their defeat against the Argentinians, the Blues return to France.

If they only finished second at the World Cup in Qatar, many French supporters intend to come and thank the players of Didier Deschamps, for their journey during the competition.

After a legendary but bitter final, it's time for Les Bleus to come back.

Didier Deschamps' men landed this Monday evening at 8 p.m. at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport.

Accompanied by their loved ones, the players made a short appearance on the airport tarmac.

Thanks

An unexpected opportunity for the employees of the terminal, to obtain an autograph, "and to shout 'thank you' to them, to tell them all the love that we have for the France team", explains Slimane, employee from Roissy.

"I followed all the matches of the French team at this World Cup and especially that of Sunday, where unfortunately, even if we lost, we will have believed in it until the end. They made us dream", he explains.

About eight buses were waiting near the tracks.

The members of the French team boarded directly on their arrival: direction Place de la Concorde, in the heart of Paris.

Because, despite their second place, the supporters of the France team intend to thank the Blues for their journey.

“We believed in it until the end”

In front of the Hôtel de Crillon, from where Didier Deschamps' men should greet the crowd, more and more of them are gathering along the barriers.

"Our Blues are certainly eliminated, but we are happy with their career. Kylian Mbappé is the greatest player in the world", estimates at the microphone of Europe 1, Christophe.

"I am proud of the Blues, we all love them and we know they will come back even stronger in 2026", assures the supporter.

A little further, Céline also keeps a note of positivity, despite the defeat against Argentina.

"We believed in it until the end and then we lost, but it does not matter, we must congratulate them. And then, we will see them at the Euro in a year and a half", concludes the young woman, who hopes to find, in Germany, the team that made him dream during this 2022 World Cup.
