12,000-euro camera stolen: thieves with a brazen trick in the ICE of the Deutsche Bahn

A woman lets her luggage out of her sight and is promptly relieved of thousands of euros.
Not the first theft of this kind at Frankfurt Central Station.
Frankfurt – A bag with camera equipment was stolen from a woman on Saturday, December 17, shortly before the main train station in an ICE train operated by Deutsche Bahn towards Frankfurt.
This is reported by fnp.de, which refers to a press release from the Federal Police in Frankfurt.
The 22-year-old was traveling by train towards Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof around noon and had stowed the backpack with two Sony cameras, two lenses and other accessories in the luggage rack.
It was only shortly before she got off that she noticed that the backpack had disappeared.
The contents of the backpack were worth a total of around 12,000 euros.

The woman searched the train but did not find anything.
So she filed a complaint with the federal police.

This type of luggage theft seems to be developing into a scam around Frankfurt's main train station.
It was not until September that a 72-year-old man lost a backpack from the luggage rack, which also contained high-quality camera equipment worth around 10,000 euros.
In this case, too, the federal police are investigating.
