Two fires in Taufkirchen and St. Wolfgang kept the emergency services on their toes on Sunday.
Taufkirchen/St. Wolfgang
– Around 1 p.m. there was a kitchen fire in an apartment building in Taufkirchen after the resident (50) forgot food on the stove.
Local residents were able to get the flames under control before firefighters arrived.
No one was injured, the property damage is estimated by the Dorfen police at around 1000 euros.
At around 5 p.m., an Advent wreath caught fire in an apartment building on Chiemseering in St. Wolfgang.
The tenants were out and hadn't put out the candles.
Fire brigades from the Erding and Mühldorf districts arrived, as did the rescue service.
Two cats were saved.
The police are assuming around 10,000 euros in damage to the apartment.
