The mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, acknowledged this Monday his
"mistake"
in the internal crisis that ended with the leader of the Popular Party, Pablo Casado, and the party's general secretary, Teodoro García Egea, in their battle against the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
Almeida has said that he should have stopped defending
a third way "when I saw where things were going and I didn't."
He said it in an interview on Esradio.
