The fishing was good for the Brest police who got their hands on 15.62 kg of cannabis resin on Thursday.
The seizure was made during a roadside check on Avenue de l'École Navale.
The 19-year-old driver, who had stashed the drugs in the trunk of his vehicle, was arrested in the process.
In police custody, he explained that he had played the role of transporter for a remuneration of 500 euros.
However, he refused to provide the identity of his sponsors and indicated that he did not know the recipients of the goods.
Referred to the public prosecutor of Brest, the young man will be tried this Tuesday in immediate appearance for trafficking in narcotics.
He is also accused of the offense of refusing to hand over the code of his telephone.
While awaiting his appearance, he was remanded in custody.
