Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny asked the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to sign a law toughening the punishment of the military for failure to comply with the order.

As the RIA Novosti agency clarifies, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law that toughens the punishment for failure to comply with the order.

“Today I am forced to raise a rather difficult topic – increased responsibility for unauthorized departure from a military unit or place of service, desertion, unauthorized departure from the battlefield or refusal to use weapons, disobedience and non-execution of military orders,” Zaluzny said in a video message.

He supported the initiative and asked the President to sign the law.

Zaluzhny acknowledged that the "naked sections of the front" are forced to cover other military personnel, this leads to an increase in losses.
