Shang Hailong has not yet considered joining a political party
Shang Hailong, who was elected as a "Hong Kong drifter", took the oath in Cantonese. He said that he had rehearsed once or twice beforehand. Since he is a member of the Legislative Council, he must take the oath in Cantonese.
As for the future administration of the Legislative Council, he said that Cantonese will still be used mainly, but English and Putonghua may also be used in response to issues and guests.
Regarding whether he will join a political party in the future, Shang Hailong said that he is a political amateur and hopes that as an independent candidate, he can think independently and serve the society with determination and strength. He has not considered joining a political party for the time being.
