Jean-Paul Corbineau has left us.
It is therefore the first of these three Jean de Nantes who bows out.
Jean-Paul was singer and musician of the famous group Tri Yann.
With Jean-Louis Jossic, they were the pair of the group, the "kaner" and the "diskaner".
Jean-Paul sang the melodies and Jean-Louis the songs to answer.
It is certain that many will find themselves orphans with this disappearance.

Tri Yann is of course a great musical adventure.
Since the 1970s, they have haunted the stages of Brittany, France and elsewhere.
This longevity that they share with some of their contemporaries is quite exceptional, marked by an encounter with the public that has never been denied.
Their artistic style evolved of course and the staging of their show, which involved the public, was often tinged with benevolent derision.
Thus during a concert, the spectators cried out their desire for daily pudding.
Their latest show, all in color with Breton samurai clothing, was not lacking in spice.
Why this longevity and this communion with the public for more than 50 years?
This is due to the mischievous personality of the musicians, to their simplicity but also to their love of Brittany from which they have never left.
The Tri Yann are one of the emblematic groups of the renaissance of Breton music in the 70s. My learned professor of contemporary history at the faculty of Rennes compared this period which is called "Emsav" with the "Risorgimento". 19th century Italian.
This is the period when young people went to see the Elders to learn about their culture.
They collected songs, dances, stories, etc., to reuse them with their interpretation.
This was also accompanied by a reflection on the times.
The rural exodus hit Brittany hard.
Decentralization, the
autonomy, living and working in the country, social struggles, cultural democracy, languages were themes that were debated.
Some of these young people found themselves with the peasant poet Angela Duval.
From what we call Brittany material, the Tri Yanns have developed their own artistic universe.
Contrary to what one might think, nothing is more moving than tradition, which abhors codification.

I remember Tri Yann's first album in which they covered songs from the lands of Upper Brittany.
They popularized certain songs that became hits like "Pelot d'Hennebont", "La mare de Michao" or "Dans les prisons de Nantes".
They also sang in Breton with “un Alarc'h tra mor”.
They have, with Stivell, Servat, Denez but also groups like Gwerz or Barzaz and many others, accompanied the vitality and diversity of Breton music.

The Tri Yann also remain the spokespersons of a people: the Breton people of course.
A way we have to represent ourselves in the pleasure of the party and the music.
Let's admit that if all peoples had the same art of living, the life of the world would be simplified.
It is therefore no coincidence that the president of the Brittany region and the mayor of Nantes were the first to react.
Breton in heart and in music, the Tri Yann were not administratively so.
They have always risen up against the partition of Brittany and fought for administrative reunification.
There was a “political” side, we would say today “citizen” in their show and their commitments.
This is certainly also what has made their longevity.
Brittany does not have a state but it
is found ambassadors, Jean-Paul was one of them.
We wish him happy days in the paradise of musicians.
