A car was found in the Sorgue by the gendarmes of Pernes-les-Fontaines (Vaucluse), this Sunday at the end of the morning.
The front part of the vehicle was submerged.
The body of a 79-year-old man, owner of the car, was discovered 200 m further.

Le Dauphiné Libéré
.
The location of the vehicle had been provided by the air detachment of Hyères (Var), dispatched to the site to participate in a search operation.
The septuagenarian, living in Pernes-les-Fontaines, had indeed been missing for 48 hours.
The alert had been given by one of his neighbors, worried not to have seen him go about his business as usual.
She had informed the police.
The latter had then tried to find the Vauclusien.
The investigation had shown that the latter had been seen in his car and that his telephone had been limited in the Velleron sector (Vaucluse).
A witness explained to our colleagues that there were only "disused sheds" in the area where the car was discovered.
