Elon Musk
has submitted to a vote this Sunday his resignation as director of the social network Twitter, after criticism for changes in the company's policy.
The owner of Twitter and executive director of Tesla Inc has assured that he will abide by the results of the survey, which according to preliminary data indicates that 57 percent of the users who have participated have indicated that they would be in favor of him leaving office.
"Should I resign as Chairman of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll," Musk tweeted, along with "yes" and "no" options.
Prior to this post, he has written that "in the future, there will be a vote for major policy changes."
However, he has warned of the danger of the possible consequences.
"As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for as you just might get it
," she has stated.
Faced with the avalanche of comments that his announcement generated, Musk clarified:
"It's not about finding a CEO, it's about finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive
," and before the comment of a volunteer to take head in the net, he gave her an almost dramatic response.
"You have to like pain a lot," the millionaire replied. "(And there is) a catch:
you have to invest your life savings in Twitter, since it has been on the fast track to bankruptcy since May. Do you still want the job?
", he ironized.
And then he added that "nobody wants the job that would truly keep Twitter alive. There is no successor," without interrupting the poll.

would be willing to appoint another person in charge of the network,
