"About 30 to 40% of the seat capacity that the (carrier) occupies at the present time is to serve the demand for travel to Dubai," said Adnan Kazim, CEO of Commercial Operations at Emirates Airlines, referring to the strong demand for travel to Dubai during this period. The period coincides with the winter season.

He added that "December is one of the months that witnesses a strong demand for travel to Dubai," explaining that "the demand for travel to Dubai is stronger than pre-pandemic levels, which was usually between 20 and 25% of the size of the seat capacity that the airline occupied."

He stated that «Emirates Airlines flights record a very high load factor during December 2022», pointing out that «the occupancy rates of the carrier's flights are very good, and the flights record high occupancy rates to many destinations around the world, despite the varying occupancy rates between the outbound and return flights. , generally".

Kazim expected that Emirates Airlines would continue to record occupancy rates with healthy levels on board its flights, explaining that this request would continue until next January, in addition to February and March 2023.

He explained that the "carrier" is working to support the movement of passengers to and from Dubai more, in addition to transit passengers from Dubai and beyond.

Kazim added that Emirates Airlines operates at more than 80% of its operational capacity compared to 2019 levels, that is, before the pandemic, pointing out that the airline currently operates all Boeing 777 aircraft in its fleet, in addition to 83 Airbus A380 aircraft. It works on various destinations.

He expected that all aircraft in the carrier's fleet of "Airbus A380 giants" would be operated by the end of 2023, pointing out that the airline continues to put this aircraft to serve destinations that are in high demand.

And he indicated that "returning the operational capacity of the entire fleet and putting more (Airbus A380) aircraft in service will help the airline to acquire an important share of the demand for travel in international markets."

He pointed out that when all the carrier's lines are restored, especially some markets from the Far East, and all operational capacity is restored to before "Covid-19", Dubai's share of travel will return to 25% of the carrier's total demand.

Kazem added, "We will work to restore operational capacity to pre-pandemic levels," explaining, "We have recovered 95% of the number of destinations, equivalent to 143 destinations, and we are seeking to reach 100%."

He pointed out that "the movement from some markets, such as China, has not returned to its previous state, but we are working on new markets and opportunities, as we have seen numbers of travelers from America, Canada, and other international markets."
