The need to focus on the tangible heritage and its revival as the human cultural heritage present in Syria, and to contribute to its protection, in addition to expanding participation in conferences of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO, following up on projects submitted to the organization, and alleviating the severity of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people, the most prominent points Which the members of the Syrian National Committee for UNESCO focused on during their meeting today in the building of the Ministry of Education in Damascus.

The committee, which includes representatives from the relevant ministries and national bodies, affirmed that the political pressures this international organization is exposed to makes developing countries incapable of securing the requirements of their peoples. To achieve the lofty goals that it seeks without prejudice and politicization of its work, in a manner consistent with the interests of its peoples to reach its goals in achieving civil peace, through interest in education, science and culture.

The Minister of Education, Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, called in a speech during the meeting of the Member States of UNESCO to work hard and cooperate in the fields of education, science and culture to achieve the goals of civil peace and achieve the common good of humanity, indicating the importance of the various cultural contributions and efforts made in the field of preserving the tangible and intangible Syrian heritage. The protection of archaeological sites and the rehabilitation of what was destroyed as a result of the terrorist war, in addition to its role in highlighting the government's interests in the national cultural project, especially since these efforts finally culminated in the registration of the Damascene rose, the Halabian rose and the Oud in the list of intangible cultural human heritage in the organization.

The Secretary of the National Committee for UNESCO, Dr. Nidal Hassan, referred to the areas of cooperation with the organization and activities such as meetings, meetings, grants, seminars, awards, celebrations, competitions and projects, the most important of which are the Integrated School Information Management System (EMIS) project, the school environment improvement project, and the General Sports Federation project on submitting funding requests To combat doping, in addition to following up on projects to nominate elements of intangible cultural heritage for inclusion on UNESCO's list of intangible human cultural heritage.
