China News Service, December 19 (Xinhua) According to "Russia Today" (RT) reports, a large number of protesters took to the streets of Paris a few days ago, condemning the sanctions imposed by France on Russia, and calling on the government to withdraw from NATO and re-examine its foreign policy.

On the day of the protest rally, a large number of demonstrators marched in the center of Paris.

Protesters waved French flags and held banners and placards with words: "France must withdraw from NATO", "Impeach Macron" and other words.

The demonstrators also expressed their strong dissatisfaction with the European Commission, shouting "von der Leyen shut up" on the street.

The organizers of the mass protests are the Patriots party, led by French right-wing politician Florian Filippo.

Filippo has been organizing protests since the fall, criticizing President Emmanuel Macron's economic and foreign policy and calling for France to withdraw from NATO and the European Union.

European energy prices have skyrocketed due to severe sanctions imposed by Western countries on Russia.

High energy prices have forced businesses across France to close down, and people's lives have been seriously affected.

Filippo said: "We must stop the sanctions against Russia. Sanctions against Russia will not help peace, but will cause more suffering."

French officials did not comment on the protests.
