The ET model from Steven Spielberg's 1982 sci-fi classic ET The Extra-Terrestrial has fetched $2.6 million at auction.
The original mechatronic model of the friendly alien went under the hammer during a two-day auction over the weekend in Beverly Hills, according to auction house Julien's Auctions.
With 85 points of articulation, almost everything on the ET model can be moved - from the eyes to the neck to the pointy finger that the alien wanted to use to "phone home".
More than 1,300 movie props were sold at the mega auction in Los Angeles, including Robert De Niro's boxing gloves from the movie Raging Bulls and Chris Hemsworth's Thor hammer.
Harry Potter's broom changed hands for $128,000.
The staff that Charlton Heston used to part the Red Sea in The Ten Commandments even fetched $448,000.
