Hungarian Foreign and Economic Relations Minister Péter Szijjarto said that Budapest is opposed to setting a gas price limit because it considers it harmful and dangerous, but there is a feeling that it will be possible to introduce it.

According to RIA Novosti, the EU has recently become more frequent holding councils of energy ministers of countries.

According to Szijjártó, this is due to the energy crisis in Europe.

“Energy Council in Brussels: we are saying no to a price cap, because the security of supply comes first... The proposal to introduce a gas price ceiling is bad, harmful and dangerous, but despite this, it seems that its adoption can take place,” Szijjártó said .

He also added that Hungary faces "another big battle" in Brussels.

Previously, Peter Szijjarto advocated pragmatic relations with Russia.
