Police found an abandoned car in a field.
They determined the owner in Leutershausen - he opened the door for them drunk.

This curious headline bears the latest press release from the Ansbach police from December 17th.

Accordingly, on Friday, December 16, around 10:15 p.m., the police were told by a car that was parked in a field near Leutershausen (Ansbach district) at the level of the sewage treatment plant.
One person was not in the car.
The officers checked the number plate and were able to identify the owner.
"He could then also be found at his home address in Leutershausen and opened the door, heavily intoxicated," said the police.
A test on the handheld device resulted in a value of around 1.7 per mille.

When questioned about his car, the man told police officers "that he had just driven home from a Christmas party."
On the way home, he wanted to visit a gas station "to fill up his vehicle," the press release continues.
He went off the road to the right and landed in the field.
The man, who was not injured, left his car and ran home.
