Deputy Chairman of the Russian National Security Council Dmitry Medvedev described the statements of British politicians that the decision to enter into negotiations with Russia is up to Ukraine as false and shameless statements.
Russia Today quoted Medvedev as saying: “This comes at a time when the Anglo-Saxons are talking in every suitable and inappropriate place that the Ukrainians will decide for themselves whether they will conduct negotiations with us or not, and therefore lies, hypocrisy and insolence that have no limits.”
It is noteworthy that Moscow has repeatedly confirmed its openness to negotiations with Ukraine, but indicated that negotiation is impossible in light of the current position of the Ukrainian authorities.
