There were a total of 110 trade fairs and 200 exhibitions, congresses and events worldwide with almost 52,000 exhibitors and 3.3 million visitors.
31 trade fairs, around 180 congresses and events as well as other activities took place in Frankfurt.

Around 80 events worldwide had to be canceled or postponed due to the aftermath of Corona.
"In particular, our revenue-generating spring events in Frankfurt were canceled again," said Marzin. Nevertheless, Messe Frankfurt's group sales are above the forecasts from the summer. "For the 2022 financial year, we are currently expecting consolidated group sales of around 450 million euros off," Marzin said.
That is three times more than 2021.
The main source of sales in this financial year is Germany, which accounts for almost two thirds of the consolidated group sales.
