The German War Graves Commission can show a successful collection.
A campaign on the church square in Starnberg raised around 156,000 euros.

– The collection for the German War Graves Commission began on the church square in Starnberg at the beginning of October – the result is now clear.
Exactly 15,419.91 euros came together, as reported by the Bundeswehr.
General Rainer Simon, commander of the Bundeswehr IT school, was more than satisfied with the result and the performance of his soldiers, who volunteered to collect donations.

More than 15,000 euros is a proud result that shows how important and respected the work of the Volksbund is in the population.
Oberstabsbootsmann Klaus Pakulla, the representative of the German War Graves Commission, thanked the active and former soldiers of the school for their commitment to supporting the work of the Volksbund.
In the collection campaigns at the Pöcking location as well as in Starnberg, Berg, Feldafing, Tutzing, Andechs and Seefeld, the most successful individual collectors were Sergeant-Major Uwe Sausentahler with 1288 euros, Sergeant-Major Alexander Mandl with 460 euros and Sergeant-Major Florian Seidl with 450 euros.
