Elon Musk has been criticized for his erratic leadership style on Twitter.
Now the users should vote on his future with the short message service.
San Francisco – Tech billionaire Elon Musk has Twitter users vote in a poll on whether he should remain head of the short message service.
“Should I resign as head of Twitter?
I will stick to the results of this survey,” he wrote on Twitter on Monday night.
Users can vote "Yes" or "No".
Elon Musk is putting his ideas through on Twitter: users should vote
Twitter had previously received massive criticism after the online network wanted to ban its users from advertising their presence on certain competing platforms such as Facebook, Instagram or Mastodon.
Musk later apparently backtracked, stating that accounts would only be suspended "if the 'primary' purpose of that account is to solicit competitors."

In another tweet, Musk also promised to put major policy changes for the platform to the vote in the future.
"I beg your pardon.
Will not happen again."
Elon Musk blocks journalist accounts on Twitter: contradiction to the fight for freedom of expression
The current unrest began on Thursday when Twitter suspended the accounts of several prominent US journalists.
According to those affected, the closures were carried out without warning.
A large part of the accounts has now been activated again, but the criticism of the procedure was huge.
Many users then advertised Twitter competitor Mastodon as an alternative, which Musk probably wanted to prevent.
Musk has always presented himself as a champion of freedom of speech.
He finally propagated conspiracy theories on Twitter and used the platform to promote the US Republicans in his tweets.
