The Israel Police and the General Security Service have completed the investigation of the nationalist-motivated stampede in south Tel Aviv.
On Thursday, about two weeks ago, a report was received at the police center about a car accident between a private vehicle and a motorcycle rider on Abarbanal St. in Tel Aviv.
The motorcyclist was moderately injured and was referred for medical treatment.

From a preliminary investigation by the forces in the field, it became clear that a private vehicle driven by the suspect Ali Hamed, 31 years old, an illegal resident from the village of Silwad in the Ramallah district, hit a scooter rider who was standing on the side of the road on Abarbanal Street in Tel Aviv.
No law, no license
It also emerged that the suspect entered Israel illegally, while driving an Israeli vehicle, which was disabled and moved to the territories, bearing mismatched identification plates ("mashtova") and that he does not have a driver's license at all.
The suspect was arrested for questioning on suspicion of involvement in the traffic accident and illegal stay in Israel.
During the investigation, the Shin Bet's assessment that the motive for the incident was nationalist was strengthened, and the investigation was transferred to the joint handling of the Crime Investigation Unit (ILP) and the Shin Bet. The security forces in the territories of the Palestinian Authority the day before the trampling incident, while promoting a shooting attack.

The suspect's detention was extended in court from time to time and today with the end of the investigation, the prosecutor's office today filed a statement against the suspect about the intention to file an indictment against him as well as a request for his detention until the end of the proceedings.
