According to the latest statement from the hospital, which came a week ago, Pelé is on the mend.
And the hospital stay hasn't stopped him from watching the World Cup.
"Messi wins his first World Cup title, just as his career deserves.
My dear friend, Mbappé, scores four goals in a final.
What a gift it was to see this spectacle, the future of our sport," writes Pelé on Instagram.
The last time Argentina won World Cup gold was in 1986, when the big star was Diego Maradona.
Now Pelé sends a thought to the icon, who passed away two years ago.
“Congratulations, Argentina!
Diego is definitely smiling now," writes Pelé.
