Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that military cooperation between Russia and Belarus is not limited to the mutual supply of weapons, but includes innovations, joint production and development.
Russia Today quoted Putin as saying: Our military cooperation is not limited to the mutual supply of weapons, but rather includes joint cooperation in innovation, design and development of weapons and defense systems, and this also applies to the space sector with its joint plans and strategies between the two countries.
For his part, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stressed that the strengthening of relations between Moscow and Minsk was a natural result of the changing situation in the world.
Lukashenko said that the governments of the two countries are in intensive contact, and meetings are held at different levels.
Today, President Putin arrived in Minsk on a working visit, during which he will discuss with his Belarusian counterpart the development of strategic partnership relations, the future of the Federation of Russia and Belarus, the progress of integration within the framework of the Union State, and a number of pressing issues on the agenda of international and regional cooperation between the two countries.
