Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law ratifying an agreement between Russia and the United Arab Emirates for cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
The agreement was signed in Dubai on October 26, 2021, and it allows for the implementation of joint projects, including the installation of GLONASS stations in the Emirates.
The Russian space agency Ross Cosmos and the Emirates Space Agency will finance the expenses incurred in implementing the agreement. At the same time, joint space activity will be carried out on a commercial basis, which will allow attracting additional extra-budgetary funds to the Russian rocket and space industry.
Putin signed another law ratifying an agreement with India on technology protection measures related to cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, and the construction and operation of launch vehicles and ground-based space infrastructure.
This agreement was signed on December 1, 2021.
