According to the commander of the tank unit with the call sign Viking, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to “build up their forces” for a strike in order to continue the offensive.
At the same time, the task of the Russian Armed Forces was to prevent their concentration.
“Infantry, being in direct contact, requires the fire of artillery and tanks, therefore, they come to us, give the coordinates of the target, we go out and work out,” the commander explained.
On December 16, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian troops had destroyed an ammunition depot of Ukrainian Armed Forces militants in Kharkov.
