A resident of Saint-Ouen (Seine-Saint-Denis) was slightly injured on Monday afternoon, around 2:30 p.m., after a gas explosion in his apartment.
The facts occurred in a four-storey building located in Amilcar-Cipriani street, near the town hall.
The building, which has thirteen apartments – several of which had not been occupied in recent weeks – had to be evacuated immediately by firefighters for a “risk of collapse”, after the appearance of a crack on the facade. .
Forty firefighters were mobilized.
Families relocated by their insurance or by the city
For its part, the city of Saint-Ouen indicates that it has requested the intervention of an “expert from the police headquarters in order to analyze the solidity of the building” affected by the explosion, as well as the adjoining buildings.
The expert will have to submit his report “in the coming days”, continues the municipality.
The condominium was currently embarked on a major renovation.
According to our information, the apartment affected by the explosion was one of those that had just undergone work.

Pending the expert report, a dozen families will not be able to return to this building and sleep at home in the coming days.

"The city accompanied them in their efforts and also replaced insurance to provide temporary relocation if necessary," says the municipality.
