The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) awarded Argentina a $10 million reward for winning the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, after defeating defending champions France 4-2 on penalties.
CONMEBOL President Alejandro Dominguez announced in a tweet on Twitter that the award would be awarded to the Argentine national team, noting that he lived "unforgettable moments alongside a great team."
"We entered the dressing room of the world champions at Lusail Stadium in order to hand them the CONMEBOL reward for winning the title, which is estimated at $10 million," he said.
And Dominguez attached his tweet with a picture of the Argentine national team, in which its captain, Lionel Messi, appears while holding the check.
