Corvette "Sukhothai", carrying 106 sailors, sank during a storm in the waters of the Gulf of Thailand in Thailand. 75 people rescued, 31 sailors are being searched.

The Navy sent ships and helicopters to the scene to provide assistance, according to the Bangkok Post.

“Tugboats from the port of Bangsaphan arrived at the accident site.

75 people were lifted out of the water,” the report says.

According to the Navy, 20 nautical miles off Prachuap Khiri Khan province, strong winds caused the ship to list, causing water to enter the system, resulting in a power outage and inability to steer the corvette.

The ships in the area continue search and rescue operations.

Earlier, a fishing boat was in distress on Sakhalin.
