A total of 16 sites were selected for the first batch of industrial heritage in Guangzhou, of which Liwan District has the most, with a total of 5 sites, including the former site of Synergy and Machine Factory, Guangzhou Diesel Engine Factory, the former site of Guangdong Beverage Factory, the former site of Asia Longma Warehouse, and the former site of Guangzhou Iron and Steel Factory; Haizhu District 4 locations, including Chen Liji Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Park, the former site of Pearl River Brewery, the former site of Guangzhou Textile Machinery Factory, and the former site of Guangzhou Battery Factory; 2 locations in Yuexiu District: the former site of Wuxianmen Power Plant, Guangzhou Electric Power Exhibition Hall; 2 locations in Panyu District: Guangdong Province State-owned The former site of the Zini Sugar Factory, the ancient quarry of Lianhuashan; one in Tianhe District, one in Huangpu District, and one in Zengcheng District, respectively, the former site of the Second Cotton Mill in Guangzhou, the former site of Kebai Dock, the former site of Lushun Dock, and the former site of Zengcheng Sugar Paper Factory.

Since the announcement of the first batch of lists on December 20, 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has so far announced five batches of national industrial heritage lists.
Among them, Nanfeng Guzao in Chancheng District, Foshan City, Jiangmen Sugarcane Chemical Factory in Pengjiang District, Jiangmen City, and Yingde Hongqi Tea Factory in Yingde City, Qingyuan City were selected from Guangdong.
