The programmers' initiative in Guyana is an extension of the "One Million Arab Coders" initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, which has succeeded in attracting more than 1.2 million students. students around the world.

Dr. Muhammad Irfan Ali confirmed that Guyana is working on implementing one of the largest transformative projects in the information and communication technology sector, by launching the programmers initiative in partnership with the UAE government, which is the first initiative of its kind in the region, to build youth capabilities, inspired by the successful experience developed by the UAE government. The UAE in its initiatives, preparing them to participate in development by providing them with the basics of programming that will contribute to enhancing their communication with the future.

He said that the world is witnessing an accelerated digital transformation, which necessitates adopting advanced technology, understanding these transformations, and investing in Guyanese human capital in general, and youth in particular, to participate in advancing the economy and transforming it into a knowledge-based economy, attracting global investments in the fields of data, and making Guyana one of the most important centers programming in the world.

For his part, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange, Director General of the Prime Minister's Office, Abdullah Nasser Lootah, affirmed that the UAE government focuses on developing qualitative partnerships that support the consolidation of the foundations of future governments, embodying the directives and visions of the leadership by sharing a summary of its expertise and experiences, in a way that guarantees empowerment. Governments to raise levels of performance, efficiency and readiness for future challenges.

He said that partnerships and bilateral cooperation with Latin American countries contribute to strengthening the goals of the government knowledge exchange program, by benefiting from the UAE's pioneering work experience, in building government capabilities, and preparing young competencies and skills capable of leading the efforts of creating the future.

The launch of the programmers' initiative in Guyana is inspired by the "One Million Arab Coders" initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in 2017, with the aim of spreading knowledge and providing Arab competencies with the capabilities and skills necessary for the future and empowering them by learning the language of the future.
