Serious indictments for aiding and abetting the murder of Mor Toizer (Eli Ashkenazi)
An indictment was filed today (Monday) in the Haifa Magistrate's Court against six residents of the north, due to their involvement in the murder of the young man Mor Toizer in Kiryat Ata about a month ago, following a mistake in the identification of criminals.
Three residents of Ramla, Zakaria Abu Ganem, 28 years old, Canaan Abu Ganem, 20 years old, and Sabri Abu Ganem, 27 years old, were charged with aggravated murder, attempted murder, and weapons offenses.
A resident of Kiryat Ata, 30-year-old Ibrahim El Rakh, was charged with aiding and abetting murder under aggravated circumstances, aiding and abetting attempted murder and obstruction of justice.
An indictment was also filed against the spouses of some of the defendants, 41-year-old Moran Atia Demari and 47-year-old Naomi Patau, for aiding and abetting, obstructing legal proceedings and threats.
According to the indictment filed by attorney Shonit Kedem Nimtsen, the defendants decided to harm A., a resident of Shafaram who was in conflict with Demari, the partner of Zacharia Abu Janem, who even threatened him. Against the background of the conflict, Zacharia asked A. to meet him in Kiryat Ata, And the two agreed to meet. According to the indictment, Zachariah went to the meeting together with Kanaan and Sabri in order to shoot and kill A. Toizer, the 29-year-old married father of a 4-year-old girl, a resident of Kiryat Bialik, was shot dead last October by a vehicle that stuck to him, while he was riding a scooter in Kiryat Ata.
He was mortally wounded and died of his wounds at the Rambam Hospital in Haifa three days later. After two weeks of investigation, the HJM detectives were able to track down seven suspects involved in the murder. It turns out that the source of the shooting was a conflict that stemmed from the slander directed at a girl. The investigation shows that three of the suspects arrived in their car in Kiryat Ata and mistakenly believed that Toizer was their target.
