Truck driver in distress: the mayor and the police help the 48-year-old

Truck driver in Marktschorgast in distress - battery goes flat
The truck driver (48) had spent the night from Friday to Saturday, December 17, in his vehicle when the temperature was below zero, the police said on Monday.
The battery gave out so that the auxiliary heating failed and the car would not start the next morning.
Attempts to reach the responsible forwarding company were unsuccessful.
The 48-year-old did not have the money to reach the breakdown service on his own.

Truck driver in Marktschorgast in need: Mayor and police help
During the night from Saturday to Sunday he unloaded a mobile home from his truck in Marktschorgast (Kulmbach district) and slept there.
It was only on Sunday evening that the man managed to contact the police with the help of a walker.
Because another night in the cold vehicle would not have been reasonable, the officials contacted the mayor of Marktschorgast.
He organized an emergency shelter for the man.
