As expected, her last name immediately raised questions as to whether she is related to the other members of the Kashti family published in the media, some of whom are associated with not very positive scandals - such as Prisilia Kashti and the brothers Tom and Elimelech Kashti.

Already during her ID in the program, Sapir stated that although she is related to them, she made it clear that she is not in contact with the family members in question, in a way that implies that she is the one who broke off the relationship.
She also asked to shake off the family image while explaining: "It's just a last name."

Prisilia Kashti, whom it is implied that Sapir was talking about, among other things, presented a different point of view in her story: "Sapir is indeed my cousin, we have not been in touch for years, but not for the reasons she says."
It turns out that other family members didn't stay quiet either.
A relative named Eli Kashti said: "She mentioned that we are not in contact. This is true, but definitely not for the reasons she mentioned, certainly not by her choice."
Later he adds: "I understand that she wants to be famous... but not to pursue at all costs, certainly not to get dirty on your family."
Prisilia Kashti was suspected of running over an elderly pedestrian who was killed while driving in 2015. She was sentenced to 24 months in prison and served a shortened sentence. Publications in which it appears that she continues to maintain an active Instagram page that presents a hedonistic life, even when she is in prison, provoked angry reactions of the deceased's family members and of many surfers, who thought that it was inappropriate.

Elimelech Kashti entered the "Big Brother" house as a contestant about two and a half years ago, in the season where Zehava Ben won.
Immediately after his entry, a video was published in which he was seen together with his brother Tom, where he was allegedly seen beating an elderly guard of a building who did not allow them to bring electric bicycles into the place.
After stormy reactions caused by the video outside, Elimelech was called to the Big Brother room, and was kicked out of the house and the show.
Tom Kashti responded: "Sapir entered a time when the name Kashti was in the media in a negative sense and she tries not to be a part of that, but the family name is a part of her and it is also one of the reasons she is where she is. If she doesn't want to, today it is also possible to change her last name. I believe that she will bring more color to her rainbow and that she will be proud of this name. We grew up together and I wish her success."
