Mexico City authorities reported on Monday three detainees allegedly involved in the murder of three men, two of them brothers and an elderly man, whose bodies were found this Sunday afternoon at a home in the central Roma neighborhood.

Among the victims was the actor Andrés Tirado and his brother Jorge, both reported as missing since last Friday before the authorities and on social networks, in addition to an older adult, presumably the uncle of the young people.

CNN has not been able to confirm if the third victim was related to the Tirado brothers.

The secretary of Citizen Security of the capital, Omar García Harfuch, reported Monday on Twitter that the three detainees "were first presented as witnesses and are already under investigation after the investigations carried out."

This Monday, during his daily conference, the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, said that the head of the Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, reported on the case and that what happened would be announced later.

“Yesterday I was in contact with relatives and friends of the Tirado brothers.

We regret and condemn the facts.

There are people arrested and the Mexico City Prosecutor's Office will be reporting on the progress of this painful homicide," Sheinbaum said on Twitter.

The Mexico City Prosecutor's Office had already reported on Sunday night that it is advancing with an investigation into the case.

On social networks, the Mexico City Theater system and figures from the artistic scene, such as actor and conductor Alan Estrada and actress Sandra Echeverría, spoke out about it and demanded justice for the victims from the authorities.

According to the first reports, the Tirado brothers had been seen for the last time in the Roma neighborhood on December 16, but since they had no communication with family and friends, the search for the authorities began.
