Some of the streets and sidewalks in the municipality of Paunzhausen are in a worrying condition.
Now we want to remedy the situation as quickly as possible.
Paunzhausen
– It's no longer done with patchwork.
Friedrich Boos, spokesman for the traffic working group, made this unmistakably clear when presenting his damage report to the Paunzhausen municipal council.
"We need a concept," Boos stated.
And one that sets very clear priorities.
Starting with damage that the building yard can fix to those that require specialist companies.
Fasanenweg is a danger point
"The pictures speak for themselves," said Boos.
He was referring to the severely damaged connecting road between Johanneck and Hohenbuch, which was by no means the only blatant example.
The documentation presented by Boos included almost 70 photos from the districts of Walterskirchen, Angerhöfe and Paunzhausen as well as from Johanneck and Schernbuch.
The working group had identified around 40 damage spots in the municipal area.
These include the Fasanenweg in Paunzhausen, which according to Boos "looks brutally dilapidated" and "has really deep holes" - a dangerous spot for cyclists and pedestrians.
The same applies to areas of Schucklbergstrasse.
And not just partially, but over an area of 100 square meters.
During the ensuing debate in the municipal council, the through roads of Paunzhausen and Schernbuch turned out to be special cases.
According to Boos, the sidewalks are in poor to unbearable condition.
However, since these are state roads, it is not so easy to remedy the grievances.
While the community is responsible for maintaining the sidewalks, repairing them properly would require digging up the road.
Therefore, according to Boos, it is essential to make an appointment with the road construction department to coordinate the matter.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
Mayor Johann Daniel explained that there had already been several contacts with the road construction authority on this matter.
To date, however, no solution has been found.
Regardless of this, voices were raised in the committee calling for the rehabilitation of the streets and sidewalks to be pursued with vigour.
100,000 euros have been earmarked for this “for three to five years”, but nothing has happened so far, Birgit Kasper, one of the four members of the transport committee, stated with disappointment.
From her point of view, you have to "finally start doing something."
Civil engineering specialist will start work soon
The head of the town hall emphasized that he had an open ear for the urgently needed street renovations.
At one point or another, however, he pointed out that it could be expensive.
However, he expressly agreed to the required concept and an appointment with the road construction authority.
According to Daniel, it is a good thing that a civil engineering specialist will soon be taking up his post in the administrative community.
He hopes that this will give him additional expertise and support.
At the end, Boos once again urged us to “stay on the ball”.
In any case, the committee unanimously agreed to the demand for a restructuring concept.
The plan is to present results and make initial decisions at the next but one meeting of the municipal council.
