The "Christmas helpers": In addition to the team from the Hotel Sonnenbichl and Mayor Robert Kühn (in the Christmas jumper), representatives from Rock Capital also lent a hand to give those in need a nice evening.
The Rock Capital Group from Grünwald in Bad Wiessee has acquired two properties, the Seegarten and Sonnenbichl hotels.
The company has now invited 70 needy people to an Advent dinner at its new location.
– The Rock Capital Group made a name for itself as early as last February, when the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine drove the first people to flee and also to the Miesbach district.
The partners Peter Neumann and Christian Lealahabumrung made their newly acquired Hotel Seegarten on the banks of the Wiessee lake available to refugees from the Ukraine.
Even today, months later, around 20 people have their temporary home here.
"The coexistence there has worked out very well," reports company director Andreas Wißmeier.
Bad Wiessee: chefs serve menu, mayor reads Christmas story
Recently, his company has set another sign of humanity.
After consultation with the Bad Wiessee social welfare office, she invited around 70 needy citizens to a large Advent dinner at her Berghotel Sonnenbichl.
The Rock Capital Group only acquired this house in November 2021 and reopened it in the spring of this year after a speedy renovation.
Now not only the hotel team entertained 70 needy citizens from Bad Wiessee, but also employees from the offices as well as the shareholders and the managing director himself served the menu of pumpkin soup, roast duck and Kaiserschmarrn at the festively set tables.
Mayor Robert Kühn (SPD) read a Christmas story, two musicians from the valley provided the musical framework with zither and guitar.

Bad Wiessee: Rock Capital sees Advent dinners as a symbolic gesture
"It may only be about one evening - but we see the hospitality as a symbolic gesture and compass for a whole year," the two shareholders are quoted as saying in a press release from Rock Capital.
Managing Director Wißmeier was also deeply impressed by the event.
It was something special to experience the genuine joy of these guests who otherwise could not afford such a meal.
In the Tegernsee valley, too, there are "not just villas and football millionaires, but people who are unfortunately often overlooked".
In addition to many older people, some families with small children also accepted the invitation to Sonnenbichl.
Social commitment is not new territory for the company.
In previous years, the organization "We help Munich" always actively supported the Christmas dinner for the homeless, reports Wißmeier.
"We also want to implement good things at the locations where we work professionally."
Planning for the new Hotel Seegarten is still in its infancy
Since living space is extremely scarce and new refugees keep arriving in the district, the Hotel Seegarten is an important building block in accommodating these people.
But how long can the refugees stay there?
"There is no specific time window," explains Wißmeier.
At the moment, planning for the area is still in its infancy.
"There's an architectural competition going on right now," reports the managing director.
Only then can one say whether the existing building will be replaced by a new building or whether a refurbishment might be an option.
"But we're thinking about a new building," says Wißmeier.
The building fabric of the Seegarten, built around 1930, leaves a lot to be desired.
In any case, it should remain a hotel with gastronomy.
