The Palestinians are angry:
the terrorist Nasser Abu Hamid, who was one of the founders of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Battalions, died of cancer at Assaf Harofeh Hospital.
The Palestinians claim "deliberate medical negligence".
He is considered a contemporary of Marouan Barghouti.
Abu Hamid was charged with 13 different counts, including involvement in the murder of the Kahana couple in Ofra, planting a bomb in the "Bianchini" cafe in Jerusalem, the murder of Gad Rajoan with jewels and involvement in the attack on the Sea Food Market in Tel Aviv.
The District Court in Jerusalem sentenced him in 2002 to seven life sentences and another 50 years in prison after he pleaded guilty and was convicted of murdering seven Israelis.
He was also convicted of 12 charges of attempted murder as well as the offenses of conspiracy to commit murder and activity in a terrorist organization.
