The Chinese Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian-Chinese maritime cooperation exercises for the current year confirm the ability and determination of the two countries to jointly respond to threats to maritime security, and to maintain international and regional stability and peace.
The ministry stated in a statement published on its website that the exercises, which extend from December 21 to December 27, also aim to deepen and strengthen strategic cooperation and partnership between Russia and China in the new era.
The exercise will take place in the East China Sea, between the cities of Zhoushan and Taizhou in east China's Zhejiang Province.
And the Russian Ministry of Defense had announced earlier that a group of ships of the Pacific Fleet had gone out to sea from Vladivostok to participate in (maritime cooperation) exercises.
