A rare picture!
District Administrator Stefan Frey is not often to be found in the home kitchen.
He allowed the snapshot for the district messenger.

Starnberg – Well-known people from the district of Starnberg shared interesting cookie recipes with the Kreisbote readers during the Advent season (see below).
Variants with a kick, with chili and ginger, for example, which are obviously preferred by men.
Very traditional, like vanilla crescents according to an old recipe and an oriental variant with pistachios.
District Administrator Stefan Frey is also happy to reveal one of his favorite recipes for the Kreisbote series.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have time to prepare the black and white pastry himself.
One appointment follows the other, he reports.
Of course, there are also celebrations in the run-up to Christmas, when he can relax and think about Christmas.
It is important to him and his wife that this Christmas feeling of anticipation, warmth and togetherness also arises in his family of five.
That is why the couple and their children use every opportunity to intensively experience and enjoy the limited time they have together.
Occasionally a candle is lit on the Advent wreath at breakfast, Frey gives a little insight.
Before going to bed he occasionally reads to the children aged 7, 10 and 12 and going to church on the Sundays in Advent is a family tradition anyway.
The two older boys are now serving as altar boys.
With regard to the Christmas baking, Frey is rather reserved due to deadlines.
But: "I like to eat cookies," says Stefan Frey.
His wife and children fill the biscuit tins with delicious varieties – shortbread, rascals, vanilla crescents and butter biscuits in all shapes and colours.
Occasionally there will also be additional baking if the supplies are not sufficient.

Ingredients:
250 grams of butter, 150 grams of sugar, 500 grams of wheat flour, 2 sachets of vanilla sugar, 2 eggs, 1 egg white, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
Preparation:
Knead all the ingredients except for the cocoa into a smooth dough.
Divide the dough into two equal halves.
Knead the cocoa into one half.
Wrap both halves of the dough in foil and place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Then roll out the light and dark dough side by side and brush the surface of the dough with egg white.
Lay the dough on top of each other, press down lightly and carefully roll into a sausage.
Place the roll in the fridge for an hour or two.
Then use a sharp knife to cut the sausage into slices about 0.5 centimeters thick.
Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at around 190 degrees top and bottom heat for 10 to 12 minutes.
