Dozens of Palestinians were injured during sit-ins and demonstrations throughout the cities of the West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip today, denouncing the martyrdom of the Palestinian prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid in the Israeli occupation detention centers as a result of the continued policy of deliberate medical negligence against the prisoners.

Wafa Agency stated that the occupation forces assaulted the demonstrators in the Bab al-Zawiya area in the center of Hebron, in the Arroub camp north of it, near the southern region, and in the Asida area in the town of Beit Ummar and south of the city of Qalqilya. suffocation.

In the same context, the family of the martyred prisoner Abu Hamid announced an open sit-in at the entrance to the Al-Amari camp in Al-Bireh to demand the handover of his body and the rest of the bodies of the martyrs being held by the occupation authorities, as Naji Abu Hamid, the brother of the martyr Nasser, confirmed that “just as we fought in the case of Nasser, we will continue to stand by all the prisoners inside Occupation detention centers and to retrieve all the bodies of the martyrs from the clutches of Israeli crime and terrorism.

Participants in the demonstrations that roamed the main streets of the cities of the West Bank, called for by the Palestinian national forces, carried the Palestinian flag, pictures of martyrs and prisoners, and banners denouncing the crimes and massacres of the occupation and the policy of slow killing against the prisoners, calling for the need for the international community to intervene to stop their suffering and release them, especially the sick, women and children.

In the city center of Nablus, the coordinator of the Higher National Committee for Prisoner Support in Nablus, Muzaffar Thouqan, said: Abu Hamid was killed with premeditation and deliberate medical targeting by the occupation, pointing to the continuation of resistance as a legitimate right to respond to the occupation.

The demonstrators in the city of Tubas also confirmed that the martyr Abu Hamid made the most wonderful sacrifices with his steadfastness and resistance in full view of the international community and humanitarian and human rights institutions that are content with silence about the daily crimes and violations that the Palestinian people are subjected to, especially against the prisoners.

While the Governor of Tubas and the northern Jordan Valley, Younis Al-Assi, stressed that the occupation’s crimes and continuous violations of the rights of the Palestinian people and its systematic attacks against Palestinian prisoners will not break the Palestinians’ determination to resist and struggle by all means until the liberation of their country and the attainment of their freedom and rights.

In Tulkarem, demonstrators in front of the Red Cross office demanded the return of the bodies of the martyrs, stressing that the martyr Abu Hamid is considered a model of patience and steadfastness in the face of the occupier, who continues his crimes and terror against the Palestinians, praising the role of Palestinian women who used to sacrifice for the sake of freedom and dignity of the Palestinian people.

The demonstrators in Manger Square in the center of Bethlehem and from the Al-Amari camp in the center of Ramallah stressed that the Palestinian people will continue to confront the Israeli occupier until it defeats it and establishes its independent and sovereign state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital.

In Gaza, hundreds of Palestinians affirmed in front of the headquarters of the Red Cross that the suffering of the prisoners is exacerbated in light of the occupation’s continued policy of deliberate medical negligence and delay in providing treatment to prisoners, especially those with serious and chronic diseases, calling on the international community to hold the occupation accountable for its crimes.
