Tartous - SANA
Food products and family necessities are provided by the “Birthday Gathering” festival, which is organized by the “Desert Rose” company for organizing exhibitions and conferences, in cooperation with the Tartous Tourism Directorate.
The festival, which is held in the “Garden Hall” within Al-Basil Park, and continues until the 27th of December, comes from the principle of community support and the developmental role of the Ministry of Tourism in its work based on supporting the owners of small, medium and micro projects, which are represented by most of the participants in the festival, according to a statement. Director of Tourism, Eng. Bassam Abbas, told SANA.
The director of the festival's organizing company, Farouk Jakeesh, explained in a similar statement that the number of participants is approximately 25, including producing and manufacturing companies and handicraftsmen from several governorates.
A number of participants, including company owners and agents, confirmed that the festivals have become an opportunity for the consumer to buy his needs at discounted prices. Maher Hadid, owner of a sweets factory, said: It is an economic activity through which the Syrian industrialist contributes to the development and revitalization of his society.
Hussein Issa, an agent of a detergent company, said that their participation aims to provide a national product at a price that suits the citizen's income.
Zine El Abidine Berri, the owner of one of the factories producing various types of bags, found in the festival a rich station that proved its presence and effectiveness in terms of motivating companies to present the best offers to visitors while encouraging the consumer to get to know the local product, which contributed to creating an interactive situation based on knowledge and mutual trust.
Food engineer Walaa Ibrahim indicated that she worked with her colleague, Kenana Khalil, to manufacture customized food products, especially for those suffering from health diseases such as diabetes, malabsorption, and others, to provide them with a healthy, balanced food product.
