Lantau Tomorrow｜The starting point of the cross-sea railway will be changed to Hung Shui Bridge instead of going through Tuen Mun.

The plan for the three islands of Kau Yi Chau in "Lantau Tomorrow" has been released. It is proposed to build a new cross-sea railway with a length of about 30 kilometers. The starting point is different from the Tuen Mun River Ferry Terminal.

Legislative Council member Tian Beichen criticized the new alignment for completely abandoning Tuen Mun South's population of 500,000 and coastal residents. He threatened that if it is not revised, he will "sworn opposition" and believes that there is no reason not to use up the 200 billion yuan cross-sea railway.

It was originally proposed to connect to Siu Lam from the River Ferry Terminal via the Tuen Mun coast

The original proposed route is from the River Ferry Terminal via Tuen Mun South Station, and then along the coast via the Gold Coast to connect with Siu Lam, in order to respond to the traffic needs of the Tuen Mun South Bank area and to ease the Tuen Ma Line.

The new alignment changes the starting point to Hongshuiqiao Station in the North Metropolis. Tian Beichen believes that ignoring the needs of the entire Tuen Mun, the new design has not been able to use up the new railway.

He said that to ensure that the new railway is worth the money, the most important thing is to have enough passenger sources, including Tuen Mun, Coastal, Northern Metropolis and cross-border passengers.

The artificial island of Jiaoyizhou is changed to a Y-shaped waterway plan for three islands.
